Isaiah 1: 12-17

  • 12 ) When all of you come to appear before me, who has required this at your hand, to tread my courts?

  • 13 ) Bring no more vain oblations, incense is an abomination unto me, the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with, it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting.

  • 14 ) Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hates: they are a trouble unto me, I am weary to bear them.

  • 15 ) And when all of you spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when all of you make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.

  • 16 ) Wash you, make you clean, put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes, cease to do evil,

  • 17 ) Learn to do well, seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.

  • 13 ) ഇനി നിങ്ങൾ വ്യർത്ഥമായുള്ള കാഴ്ചകൊണ്ടുവരരുതു, ധൂപം എനിക്കു വെറുപ്പാകുന്നു, അമാവാസ്യയും ശബ്ബത്തും സഭായോഗം കൂടുന്നതും--നീതികേടും ഉത്സവയോഗവും എനിക്കു സഹിച്ചുകൂടാ.

  • 14 ) നിങ്ങളുടെ അമാവാസ്യകളെയും ഉത്സവങ്ങളെയും ഞാൻ വെറുക്കുന്നു, അവ എനിക്കു അസഹ്യം, ഞാൻ അവ സഹിച്ചു മുഷിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

  • 15 ) നിങ്ങൾ കൈമലർത്തുമ്പോൾ ഞാൻ എന്റെ കണ്ണു മറെച്ചുകളയും, നിങ്ങൾ എത്ര തന്നേ പ്രാർത്ഥനകഴിച്ചാലും ഞാൻ കേൾക്കയില്ല, നിങ്ങളുടെ കൈ രക്തം കൊണ്ടു നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

  • 16 ) നിങ്ങളെ കഴുകി വെടിപ്പാക്കുവിൻ, നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികളുടെ ദോഷത്തെ എന്റെ കണ്ണിന്മുമ്പിൽനിന്നു നീക്കിക്കളവിൻ, തിന്മ ചെയ്യുന്നതു മതിയാക്കുവിൻ.

  • 17 ) നന്മ ചെയ്‍വാൻ പഠിപ്പിൻ, ന്യായം അന്വേഷിപ്പിൻ, പീഡിപ്പിക്കുന്നവനെ നേർവ്വഴിക്കാക്കുവിൻ, അനാഥന്നു ന്യായം നടത്തിക്കൊടുപ്പിൻ, വിധവെക്കു വേണ്ടി വ്യവഹരിപ്പിൻ.
